The Syrian Government carries out 61 raids against suspected ISIS cells across Syria, arresting 71 suspected members of ISIS. These operations were carried out as a precaution, as the STG is set to join the US led global coalition against ISIS. Trumps statement today highlighting that the Cesar sanctions against Syria are about to be lifted by the request from Israel, indirectly stating that the STG under Jolani has reached an agreement with Israel, of which we know that Israel has made unacceptable demands to Syria. These 2 developments imply a serious new development: 1. We need to highlight that in 61 operations against ISIS cells across Syria, only 71 ISIS militants were arrested. These numbers simply don’t add up. ISIS cells operating as 1 man-cells barely exist; let alone at least 51 of such cells. From joint raids by the US military and the SDF, we know that the cells operate in bigger numbers. Further evidence of that is that the STG published footage of the confiscated weapons that barely contain the typical equipment ISIS cells have. Again one can see that by looking at the footage of confiscated weapons from ISIS cells that were arrested by the SDF + US forces. It should be understood that the STG has conducted fake raids as a signal to the international community. I do believe that a smaller portion of the raids were real raids as the STG under Jolani has the ambition to combat ISIS, as ISIS is the rival faction to Hayat Tahrir al Sham. Ideologically they’re mostly aligned, their rivalry is about the dominance over Syrian-*Jihadi* factions. With Syria under Jolani set to join the US led coalition against ISIS and the STG having reached an agreement with Israel that will strongly be in favour of Israel - the *Jihadi* factions in Syria will be angered by this and naturally ISIS will seek to exploit the situation. Like we have reported before: ISIS cells operating in huge numbers across Syria have been confirmed by the STG via these raids - this is something that the STG has strongly tried to deny and a lot of *Experts* on Syria have tried to back that narrative; it was all a lie. As these ISIS cells operate across Syria and as these cells will soon have a lot of more recruitment opportunities in Syria - it’s anticipated by the actors in Syria that these cells will begin to carry out insurgent operations across Syria with some speculating that a general uprising may occur as ISIS will be able to use the Syria x Israel deal and the STG joining the US coalition as grounds for an uprising. It’s not clear whether or not the STG will be able to successfully counter these activities.
