What a powerful photo, indeed, of absolutely no-one in her vicinity even paying attention, let alone being offended by her “liberating” herself from her “repressive” clothes. Please, tell me more about how “barbaric” the Islamic culture of the entire Iranian society is. And how much we need to “save” them from themselves by bombing them.
This iconic photo is now part of Iranian history, capturing the deep frustration of women with the regime—a powerful statement against repression.

People passing by think she is mentally ill and in need of psychiatric intervention.

I know this topic is not in my lane, but I just find it ironic that Western journalists and feminists finally found their voice when it comes to an Iranian woman walking around in her underwear, while for the past year in Gaza, women have been slaughtered, maimed, tortured, mourning the loss of their children and husbands, and likely raped, yet they did not receive this much attention. Is it only about women's rights when women exploit their bodies? That's kind of the sexist vibe that the West is giving off right now by saying a women only has a voice when she exposes her skin. No wonder porn and Only Fans are making millionaires out of women who have zero modesty, morals and decency, and it's creating a sex crazed and useless generation of men, who view women only for a singular purpose. What about the strong women who have protested against Israel's genocide since day one, marching on the streets, being vocal on social media, doing actual journalism? These are the women who deserve respect along with every single woman in Gaza right now. Straight Edge.

You know, just a generation ago, women used to wear headscarves in Sweden too. Especially older and married women. It was connected to cultural attitudes. Probably not so different from Iran today. Westerners have such hybris.

These are the same people who help manufacture consent for US empire to go and invade muslim countries on the pretext of 'liberating' muslims from the tyranny of muslim rulers, killing countless of innocent people including women.

This makes me so angry. These people are not feminists. They don't care about the struggle women face around the world (or in their own country, beyond surface level virtue signalling). They use feminism as a tool to further imperialism and genocidal depravity. Contemptible.

What's "barbaric" is that this courageous woman was beaten for her act of protest and hauled off to prison, where she'll likely endure physical and sexual abuse for her "crime" of improper hijab. But way to take literally one frame out of context and bloviate about it.

Habib is missing all the parties he must have had with the Americans in Kabul. He's trying to maintain his membership. 😆

We could tell you how barbaric the Islamic culture is from it's inception to it's logical conclusion but shouldn't you already know that since your are allegedly a scholar in the failed.

The West objectifies, commodifies, sexualizes women, and outright murders them, then cries about hijabs. Iranian society isn’t perfect but at least it doesn’t reek of narcissism, also not a Muslim thing.

I've read she had a nervous breakdown and is now being medically treated. I believe this, if she was an activist, she would gave a sign or be speaking, and believe the Iranians near her understood what was happening.

It's pretty clear that this is the usual zionist + "Persian royalist" + unMuslim crowd doing their bit to help Israhell. They're so desperate that they're giving their game away. Here, the timing of this speaks volumes. We know what's up 🇵🇸✌🏾

I have been a passionate feminist my entire life. Muslim people are far more feminist than Western people. I infinitely prefer hijab to “Live Nude Girls” and the pornographic, patriarchal society that breeds domestic violence, rape culture, and serial femicide.

You lot are vile and worst excuses for a human being. Masha Amini was killed for removing her hijab. Iran opresses it's women and forces them to wear a hijab. This woman is more braver than you or your kind could ever be.
