Of course it got "heated." You just stated a basic fact of sovereignty. The left doesn't have a logical counter-argument. Their entire political project relies on importing a new, dependent population to replace the one they despise. "Deport all illegals" is just another way of saying "enforce the law." Their rage is the panic of an exposed con artist.
