funny because today's trailers are arguably the shortest they've been lol. look at the older ones, they were all 3 minutes long and gave everything away through big descriptive text and booming voices
No, trailers should follow the classic Hong Kong model. They should be four minutes long, introduce every actor like they're close personal friends if yours, and open showing exactly how the villain dies.
I would also love to opt out of trailers when I go to the movies… I’d love not to look like an idiot avoiding trailers for movies I know I’m gonna see, but don’t want to spoil months in advance
There’s at least five films in the last few years that I just didn’t bother watching because the 2:30min trailer decided to be a cut down synopsis of the plot, just weirdly needless, not sure who they’re aimed at
I truly wonder if anyone actually "runs" Hollywood, or if it isn't like most human institutions, i.e. a bunch of rich and powerful people engaged in a zero sum pissing contest and everybody else just diving for cover.
This is something as movie goers we really need to get on board with and make #Hollywood change
