This new DC-ROMA RISC-V Mainboard II from DeepComputing is a serious step forward for RISC-V + AI hardware. With ~50 TOPS of on-device AI compute, vector processing units and compatibility with the Framework 13 laptop form-factor, it’s a compelling platform for developers building local LLM/AI workloads. That said, folks should still factor in power/efficiency and software maturity before deploying it as a daily driver. Overall, it feels like the future of modular, open-architecture AI PCs is getting real.
