We delivered on generational graphics upgradeability in a laptop. The new Framework Laptop 16 with @AMDRyzen AI 300 Series processors, @NVIDIAGeForce RTX 5070 graphics, and 240W USB-C power adapter is now live and available for pre-order!
A maker in the community came by our headquarters this week and dropped off one of the most mind blowing Framework Laptop modules we’ve seen. It’s cool enough that we’re going to need to capture it on video instead of the usual posting. Can’t wait to share it!

We've consumed all of the 55Wh battery material we had in the supply base for Framework Laptop 13, so instead of producing more, we've shifted the remaining configuration of Ryzen 7040 Series that was using it over to the 61Wh battery:

If I can do it, so can you! I'm a total noob with hardware & yet the @FrameworkPuter desktop instructions via qr code made install a piece of cake. Took 20 minutes from opening box to finished.
Also, we have the new ROMA II RISC-V Mainboard from @DeepComputingio that is substantially more powerful than the first generation!

Because our product philosophy is pretty unique in consumer electronics, we sometimes build up roles "from scratch" rather than trying to find existing experience. We just opened an Associate Hardware Product Manager role that reports to me. The plan is to grow that person over the first year into a full Framework PM, driving forward at least one core product line.
We're looking for someone who brings in technical depth and strong opinions on what makes for a great product along with urgency and drive to get stuff done. If this sounds like you or someone you know, you can apply on our site.
This role will start as local to our SF office 2-3 days a week, switching to remote-first after leveling up.
