today,11am, was Remembrance Sunday in the UK
this afternoon, alone, i walked to the memorial near home
it’s always for my grandad
born in the 19th century, fought in WW1
always takes a moment for the body to quieten, let my soul take over
then i remember him 🕊️
Very moving. Very Schindler’s List. Shame the lesson didn’t land. It plays less like morality and more like a tidy justification—‘thanks for your sacrifice, please enjoy our upgraded war machine.’ If Remembrance Sunday teaches anything, it’s that nothing’s changed… except the PR.
