✨ IFE Social Development Community in Action in Somaliland’s Sool Region ✨ On October 4th, our team visited the Sool region, focusing on the key districts of Ainabo and Oog, to support local schools that had been damaged. Together with community members, we took part in rebuilding efforts, offered encouragement to teachers and students, and collaborated with primary school children to create colourful artwork symbolising hope and resilience. 🎨💪 Our visit reaffirmed that these districts remain peaceful and stable, with communities demonstrating a strong commitment to education and social development. Nevertheless, residents continue to face challenges due to limited recognition and unfair perceptions that have labelled the area a “red zone.” IFE Social Development affirms that these communities are part of the Republic of Somaliland, operating under its legitimate government. Community representatives and traditional leaders also shared concerns regarding external influences and activities linked to Somalia that may affect local peace and development. It was truly inspiring to witness the creativity, joy, and determination of the children.
