Won't matter until the latest Gemini comes out.
Claude - the tiers are driving people away
- the $20 plan has too many penalties to get you bumped to the $100 plan
- the $100 plan is really the $20 plan with longer conversation and message limits, but not really better. -- Same tap, same water, just more time to drink & pour.
To be fair, Claude has repaired a lot of code that the other two created and couldn't fix because they got into doom-loops and had to start yet another fresh conversation, shove my code back into the wood chipper and try to fix and move forward.
Rage against the machine is now done by screaming into a pillow because of AI fuckups and rabbit holes that waste more time, create more prompt waste.
OpenAI - runs your browser into GIGS of memory usage, the longer the conv, the more memory it eats up in your browser, eventually locking up the browser--and the doom-loops and context loss are still way high not to warrant the $100 plan. Chad ain't bad but the bump to the higher tier? Not yet.
Gemini - endless conversation length, doom-loops that are actually recoverable, fewer rabbit holes than the other two, manageable conversation, and I'm actually going to be able to bring my app to market without the AI losing its fucking mind.
My money is now on Gemini. SamAI, or DarioAI are still useful for a lot of projects but Gemini is really scary good now, can't wait for Gemini's next act. Plus NotebookLM, my god, really amazing. Google will win on actually good product, and the ability to starve the rest of the market on price, they won't be able to compete on the current path.
