It's been a busy week working on @unruggable_io but i managed to find some time to finish my EV paper on @OREsupply mining. Seen a lot of discussion on the mining EV and happy to share this and fully quantify the game. Currently the mines have a number of sophisticated players who are also running EV strategies similar to the 'holy grail' i outline below. It's nice to see the EV maths line up with gut intuition for mining. Bet sizing relative to the amount bet on the pool remains of critical importance, and indeed it's not just winning, but being correctly sized when winning that ultimately determines a miners long term EV. The mining flywheel seems to be working, and as long as mining volume continues increasing, incentivised by the appreciation ORE through buybacks, EV miners will fill in any opportunities - effectively a gambling/EV version of arbitrage. see you in the mines anon
