I don’t think we clocked this core of people well enough. There was a The Office cohort of Gen X to Millennials that had 0 technical or creative skills and tricked people into hiring them outside of service roles. Either the advent of GPT or market forces are crunching them out
I don't know a single hiring manager that wants to hire someone who is desperate.

This is something different and more historical, the expansion of Business School degrees as well as “Marketing and Sales” as a simulative field of actually productive work.
