I find that photographs make me feel happy and I hope these also have that same effect on you. They were taken in Newfoundland. Feel free to use them yourself.
This is Shelley, Stan’s daughter. We wanted to let all you wonderful followers and friends know that Dad passed peacefully on November 4th. Thank you to all of you bringing him so much joy as he shared his little slice of bliss here in NL. Much love from Marlene & me
Forty five thousand followers. Who would have thought there would be so many of you one day. Thank each and every one of you. It has truly been a pleasurable experience.
I will still be snooping around without posting anything regularly so don’t be surprised if you see a picture of Rocky Harbour jump out at you periodically. For one last time CHEERS FOLKS. I hope you all go on to have wonderful lives like we did.
I would be remiss if I did not for one final time thank you all so much for your ongoing interest. Some of you have been following me every day for almost 15 years, and all your friendship over the years has meant so much. It has been quite a look at the social media experience.
Knowing nothing about social media I open my X account as an easy way of sharing pictures among family who seemed to enjoy them. I thought I may have around 50 followers, and had absolutely no expectation that the account would grow to 45 thousand folks from around the world.
I was never a professional photographer but did purchase my first good camera in 1970 after Shelley was born. That is when all the fun began, and I have always had a camera “ with me” since then. The best way to miss your best picture is to leave your camera at home.
Recently I have been going rapidly downhill, and other than the Mrs. taking Jersey and I for our daily car rides where I do sneak in a picture or two, I now spend most of my day in bed with Jersey. She is my age in dogs years and we both love snoozing.
I expect the closest followers to me have been expecting this announcement sooner than later now. This is one of the first pictures I ever posted on X so I will use it as one of my last also. Sadly, my health at almost 80 has given up on me and I am now unable to take pictures.
