Dear @newyorker, how many personal essays have you run by heartbroken parents whose children’s lives have been ruined by their having been told they can change sex? The mental agony, the horrific surgeries, the realisation that it has all been a catastrophic mistake?…1/

How many reporters have you commissioned to look into the role of pharmaceutical companies in the medicalisation of children who are almost certainly gay? Or the history and composition of WPATH? Or the Yogyakarta Principles and why they have not been endorsed by the UN? 2/

Or the destruction of women’s sport? Or the manipulation of stats re teen suicide? Or the effect this ideology has had on scientific research? Or freedom of expression on campus? Or how it relates to the breakdown of trust in civic institutions? It is notable that the NYer… 3/

…home of legendary reporting, has chosen to sit this one out. It can’t be for lack of promising leads. So why is it? Too toxic? Too divisive? Too difficult? Or is it because too many writers and staff have gone along with child transition for you to be able to cover it with 4/

…any objectivity? You can run only dewy eyed metaphysical rubbish about ‘journeys’, rather than report on grotesque surgeries which can never succeed, the burdens carried by detransitioners, or the experiences of those whose lives have been utterly derailed by this. Shameful.

I had a subscription for over 10 years but cancelled it because of their ‘gender-affirming care’ stance.

I haven’t quite brought myself to do it. And if I cancelled all my subs to magazines that promote this crap, I would be left with nothing to read!

Dear Ursula, That’s not what the young adults are told, Nor is it the purpose of gender, affirming care. The fact that you have to mislead to make a point makes it clear you do not have one. Directionally the thrust of media is anti-trans.

Both the New Yorker and New York magazine, especially the cut, are trans movement aligned and deeply biased.

The New Yorker has no time for gender critical propaganda.

Waaawaaa Wu is on your case. I would've thought he'd blocked you.

Have cases of children suing parents started to emerge yet?
Replying to @suladoyle
The @NewYorker is trash. Literal trash. Should only be used to wrap fish heads before disposal.
Cutting off a girl's breasts at age 12 is a crime, and anyone committing it or colluding in it should go to prison. Instead the @NewYorker romanticizes it.
