Sorry for your loss Tal, tough times losing both Jeff and Wayne so close together. On the brite side, you were able to learn from and play with virtuoso masters, what a legacy! ❤️🙏

I'm so very sorry for your loss!! And for the world's loss! I know EXACTLY how you feel! I too lost my friend, family, mentor and the best vocalist in the world all rolled up into one man! He was much more, but not enough space to mention all!! And it was the world's loss too!!!

Wayne Shorter's sax playing graces some of the best jazz, rock and blues tunes ever recorded. RIP

Sad to see him leave, but he certainly led a rich life. What a career! A phenomenal musician.

That is sad news, I love his Bitches Brew era work, another giant travels on.

Saw @Wayne_Shorter with Weather Report in Austin during the late 70s. Magical evening

Is that the great Ron Carter in the background of one of those pics?

A light that will forever be in the hearts of all he touched He will be missed.
Courage TAL et désolé de lire cela et mes pensées pour vous toutes et tous ici , qui ont en plus connu Wayne personnellement, grande perte il va sans dire
An inspiration for me as well, he never stopped exploring and creating. His music came from somewhere way beyond!
Oh man, if Paul, your old guitar teacher in the Junction, could have known all the people you'd be friends with... (I was the teacher in the next room!)
The skill and emotion Wayne put into his music is so rich and wonderful. Which makes his passing so painful.
My favorite thing about Wayne Shorter was how much he supported the rights of the Palestinians. A true hero.
His solo on Aja is so wonderful, I saw him a couple of times with Weather Report an amazing humble musician
You are blessed. You run in a circle of rarified air. Condolences - I too love and respect the musicianship of @Wayne_Shorter. RIP
awe, I'm sorry Tal. He has joined the Big Gig in the Sky.
I knew Butch Trucks very well and the Allman Brothers in Florida and Macon and i used too take Derek Trucks out for playing in little clubs in Ft.Lauderdale and pompano Beach Florida when he was just a kid and I'm sure he doesn't remember me
I’m very sorry for your loss. I saw him when I was a teenager & it had a profound effect on me. His improv a cappella solo was beyond belief. No other horn player came close. It’s so nice to hear he was as amazing off the stage.
Si sad with this news. WS was probably the most distinct sax sound ever in jazz.
