Someone shared a fascinating visual of an AI agent moving through a real codebase - reviewing structures, making decisions, and committing changes. It’s a reminder that software development is quietly entering a new phase. Not automation in the traditional sense, but systems that can understand context, navigate complexity, and contribute meaningfully. We’re still early, but the trajectory is unmistakable: coding is becoming more collaborative between humans and intelligent agents than ever before.

If something could kill Jupyter notebooks, this would be it. @Zerve_AI is a web-based IDE built for data scientists, not software engineers. It writes, orchestrates, and builds entire workflows from plain English. hubs.la/Q03Rxxkb0 #LovableForData #Data

INDUSTRIES NOT MARKETS - The investing mistake we keep making is looking at categories like AI Code like markets (with one winner) instead of industries with a dozen - As these categories evolve expect to see horizontal winners at every part of the stack and then vertical winners that are specialized - Evidence: Codex, Cursor, Replit etc are all working and winning - The same trend is true is many AI categories - i.e. legal where Harvey seems like a horizontally dominant player while Eve, Crosby and others are running away in their specialized verticals

RIP operations team. AI agents now live inside Gmail, Discord, Slack or HubSpot... reading emails, filing tickets, answering questions & triggering workflows. You don’t need to code anything. Here’s how to build & deploy one in 5 mins: 🧵

Do I need AI for my business? The pattern is clear: for the first five years, new technology is often seen as a "toy" that can be ignored. But by 2027, it will be crucial. Those who effectively use it will thrive, while others will face disruption. By 2032, businesses that haven't adapted will be out of the game. Act now or risk being left behind.

Some UK entry-level professional service jobs are converging with the minimum wage. "A growing number of HR firms are now having to “closely monitor” salary sacrifice schemes ... from pushing staff below the legal threshold for wages per hour."

Anthropic recently said that AI could eliminate 50% of entry-level jobs. Most people simply brushed it off. Then a British TV show proved it by replacing their entire host with AI, and nobody noticed. Here’s what that says about where AI is really headed:

i once shipped a client project in 17 hours. they thought it’d take weeks. the trick wasn’t brute force. it was knowing how to use AI the right way. 80% of the code came from smart prompting. the last 20% was custom logic and UI work. time saved = trust earned. trust earned = future deals. basic math if you think about it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if an AI winter is coming. There’s a cycle of overhype and underdelivery that’s leaving many cynical about the technology. It goes something like this: 1) company X hypes up their unprecedented AI product 2) launch video is wildly impressive & looks unprecedented 3) customer Y—all excited—signs up for company X 4) the product is a gpt wrapper, it was all hype, customer Y wildly disappointed 5) customer Y extrapolates and assumes this is what all of AI is While AI skepticism is partly justified, just remember with every disruptive technology there’s great shit, there’s bad shit, and those who stay the course will find there way to the true magic.
