Yesterday, I asked @AudreyFahlberg to correct her misrepresentation of the Task Force's recommendations as "demands." She refused. Now, people are dragging Evan's name through the mud for believing her. @NRO should take responsibility and apologize to Evan and the task force.

I say she refused, but I should've said "she did not." She didn't respond to my (multiple) requests for correction.

Whenever a "request" like this comes down from on high in a political organization, it's a "demand." No if, ands, or buts about it. Evan did the right thing.

You have literally no idea what you're talking about, read something and come back

The last sentence of their letter would suggest that these were indeed demands. I assume Evan read it the same way.

I assume Evan read NRO'S reporting that mischaracterized it.

They are demands. Have you even read the letter?

I have. It doesn’t sound like you have.

@AudreyFahlberg don't apologize. Your reporting was accurate

It was inaccurate, and (unfortunately) we have the recording to prove it.

They were demands. I can read.

Are you on the task force?

No, they don't allow antisemites (Jk but no I am not)

That’s absurdly disingenuous. The letter literally ends with “if we’re not able to come to an agreement our relationship will be irrevocably harmed”. So these are “recommendations” without which no further cooperation will be possible. Ie, quite obviously a demand.

His answer was recorded in secret then leaked. That says all you need to know
29
It was a demand. You know who we know it was? Because someone fucking recorded it and leaked it.

The recording and release make it clear these are demands.

It was literally in a list of demands And it's as stupid as when people went to kiss Jesse Jackson's ass anytime there was a racial issue
