iPhone 16 Plus review after almost a year This is going to be the longest review, I’ve ever did. I’m going to tell you everything about my experience with iPhone 16 Plus. I’m using this phone as my main phone since November 2024. Let’s start. Design Base and Plus 16 models got a design refresh. The refresh is not a big refresh. It’s similar to iPhone 12 design, but they removed the border around camera. The phone is comfortable to hold without a case. On the other hand, the phone is heavy and I hate it. Cameras When I compare the photos from 16 Plus and 13, 16 Plus photos are better, with more details. When taking a Portrait photo, the processing is much faster. I’m not a photographer, so I’m not going to tell you more about it. Performance Some of you know, that my 16 Plus have fried GPU. The benchmarks proved that the GPU is broken. Otherwise, the phone is fast, everything works fine and I don’t experience any lags. I don’t play a games a lot, but World of Airports, Clash of Clans, Fortnite were always smooth and playable. Battery Since I have the phone the battery is at 99% with 272 cycles. The phone stays all day without a charging. I charage it before going to sleep, then listening to Apple Music, using it next day in school and around 6PM I have 20%. iOS The phone is powered by iOS 18, the worst version of iOS when it comes to stability. Even iOS 26 Beta 7 is more stable than 18.6.1. I’m on the latest 18.6.1 and the Apple Music crash hasn’t been fixed yet. Apple Intelligence Is one of the most highlighted iPhone 16 feature. It’s useless. Siri is even worse, but at least it can use ChatGPT. The only feature which I use and it’s not that bad is Writing Tools. Clean Up is unusable in the current version. Overall Was this phone worth? Yes. Would you buy it again? No, the phone is too big and heavy, it’s better to get a Pro instead. 16 Plus will be replaced by 17 Air. I’m going to Pro instead of Air. I need big battery life.
