Semi-permanance is being achieved via a concrete pier being planned now we've confirmed our final location
5) We're aiming to be semi-permanent by the Spring with a longer term goal to finalise a fully permanent roll-off-roof observatory as soon as possible afterwards
4) We're modifying the newtonian OTA with Black 2.0 superblack matte paint and ThorLabs optical flocking to eliminate stray light and produce cleaner, flatter data
2) We've set up a piggybacked RedCat 51 for widefield imaging in parallel with our main newtonian imager
1) Our mono imager is in the final stages of being configured, allowing for SHO narrowband imaging in the Hubble palette from September onwards, with a goal to expand the filter wheel for full LRGB and photometry in the future
First step in setting #Gaze up at new location. Lots of hardware improvements to be made, blog posts coming soon!
Not finished processing this data yet, there’s Milky Way dust mired by light pollution that I’m trying to bring out. #Galaxy is the Fireworks Galaxy (UGC11597) and the cluster is the Ghost Bush Cluster #astrophotography
