Oldhead take here but Sengun vs. Wemby brings me so much nostalgia from classic 90s big man matchups. The contrast kind of reminded me of Barkley backing down David Robinson. Sengun’s patience and footwork in the post on some of those plays against Wemby was incredible basketball. You don’t see that stuff anymore in today’s game.
This is going to be a marquee matchup for the next ten years. Wemby will eventually be the best player in the league, and his body will fill in, but don’t sleep on Sengun if his three point shooting trajectory continues. And due to his frame, he’s always going to be the bigger guy.
