Today I had the honour of meeting some of the incredibly brave rail staff and first responders to Saturday's horrific train attack. Their actions were nothing short of heroic and saved lives, and it was a privilege to share my thanks with them in Peterborough and Huntingdon.
Everyone should be able to travel confidently by train regardless of their accessibility needs. See our Roadmap to build a more inclusive and accessible rail network 👇
We're building a railway that's fit for Britain's future - owned by the public, for the public. Today, we're introducing the Railways Bill into @HouseofCommons to set up Great British Railways and deliver a simpler, more reliable rail network.

👀 Of course we’ll have a look… It's full speed ahead for the first ever publicly owned @GreaterAngliaUK train service. Whether it’s your daily commute to London or a day out in Cambridge, your service will now be owned by the public and run with passenger interests first.
