we added ; to if statements if (auto x = f(); x.has_value()) have we added it to while yet? while (auto x = next(); x.has_value()) or do I need for (auto x = next; x.has_value(); x = next())

Another one is "could this be not a pointer" ie sometimes I see a raw pointer so I try to make it a unique_ptr and by the time I'm done I realize it could be not a pointer at all.

One that isn't always simple, but sometimes is doable: - make functions pure (return a result, have no side-effects)

What are some good simple coding habits, like - declaring variables where they are first used Maybe habits that you do when trying to fix/understand code and your first step is to just declutter and clean and once you are done the code suddenly is easy to understand.

Star Trek aired in Canada before it aired anywhere else in the world. The series premiered on CTV on Sept. 6, 1966, two days before it aired on NBC in the USA. So, I thought it would be interesting to look at Canada's fictional history in the Star Trek universe 👇🖖 🧵1/9

I'm trying to make a slogan that people who love ambiguity can rally around. Something like "Ambiguity lovers come together" but I was hoping for something that was ambiguous. Anyone have any ideas?

11am first day! You REALLY want me to get my talk done so I can see the rest of the conference (instead of hiding in my hotel room working on slides all week). Thanks! I guess I will start on my slides early - like when I get on the plane instead of when I get to the conference

What? OMG that sounds awesome. I'll be in the front row - I'm going to attend this talk for sure! Pardon? On stage? I'm the one on stage? Should I prepare something? Okay, okay, I'll start preparing early for once...
