The cross-sectional area of humans is small. If you live in like London or New York, you'll be like, oh, wow, there's a lot of people. But that's a very rare situation. Most of the time, if you're flying across the US or internationally, it's empty. You fly from LA to New York, most of the time you don't see anyone. If you're trying to drop a ball on somebody's head while flying from LA to New York, you'd have a real hard time, you're going to miss. Humans are not densely packed.
