Ngl I really didn’t like the appearance of the applications layout for @COSMIC_desktop. I wish it is similar to Window 7 or Linux Mint Menu. The Superkey is not even tied to open the application menu by default also.

Window 10 is ending Security Supports on October 14th of 2025. Users will either have to switch to Window 10 LTSC / 11 or try out different distributions of GNU + Linux or continue to use an outdated operating system without updates.

A barbed wire fence now cuts across Prey Chan Village, sealing off Cambodian homes and farmland behind boundaries unilaterally imposed by the Thai military. Behind it lie the houses of six villagers who right now can’t return home. Cambodia often makes the headlines for scam compounds, but Thailand is not untouched. A Reuters investigation shows travelers funneled through Bangkok airports before being trafficked to Myanmar’s KK Park, where thousands remain trapped in online fraud under threat of violence. Thai Immigration denies complicity and says it has tightened checks, turning away more than 16,000 travelers this year. Yet Thai police estimate 50,000–100,000 people are still inside scam hubs on the Myanmar border. UN reports call this a regional crime economy, with trafficking, fraud, and money flows running through Thailand as well as Cambodia. Scam networks here are not isolated to one country. They operate across borders, and Thailand is part of that story too.

Along with displaced families heading home for the start of Pchum Ben, recent discussions at the GBC in Koh Kong are good signs the conflict is moving in the right direction: withdrawal of heavy weapons, better communication to avoid clashes, return of Cambodia’s 18 soldiers, reopening border checkpoints for trade, creation of a joint demining task force within a week, and deeper cooperation on cross-border crime and border management. These steps show progress, but sustained commitment will determine if peace holds.
