This giving Tuesday please consider mmfrp.org/donate/. We train bilingual students to do cutting-edge, community-action research w/migrants. We run on a shoestring & donations enable low-income, first-generation students to do original research on pressing migration issues.
This yr, mid pandemic, 35 bilingual @ucsdmmfrp students & I collaborated w/ immigration advocacy orgs to interview asylum se ekers trapped @ border & in detention. We also talked to Latinx students @UCSD. Here: the reports that came out: mmfrp.org/research/ Titles&links ⬇️
