@unitedutilities @LBC So many customers appalled at the 28% rise in bills for next year. How do you justify it? I think this will become a big issue as more people receive their bills for next year but am sure we are limited in what we can do

Hi Steve, I appreciate price increases can be frustrating. Due to our investment in our water services over the next 5 years, we’ve had to adjust our prices to continue to deliver and improve our services. 1/2

Borrow the money and deliver the work and then get the money back in bills. Your past performance gives no confidence you’ll deliver any of this whilst still charging customers for it. This could easily be a big scam.
