ComplexCon is one of the most significant events in the country when it comes to streetwear, hip-hop, art, music, food, and culture. It sets the tone for the next 12 months and the fact that @BoredApeYC has a long term partnership in place is bigger than 98% of you realize. There’s 60k collectors that fly from all around the world to stand in line, wait, shop and spend a ton of money. The amount of disposable money being spent there is staggering - this is a crowd that lives for limited and impossible to find items - they crave exclusivity all the way down to the cellular level. I’ve seen more Amex Black Cards at ComplexCon than at SXSW and San Diego ComicCon combined (although those are two other great onboarding opportunities for new members). BAYC line was nothing but smiles (despite being a 3 hour wait at times). Booth placement was perfect, @illaDaProducer is an absolute beast of a hypeman on the mic, keeping the crowd fired up and the overall design of their gigantic space was impressive AF. I see where the team is looking to take this, there’s a lot of pieces and moving parts (bayc + mayc + Otherside + physical clubhouse + brand collabs + community + events + more) but when I zoom out a bit I can clearly visualize where we’re at in 3-5 years time. Current market is irrelevant to me. I see where we’re going and am stoked to be building towards this future with my friends. Even with what little voice I have left after 4 nights of running around Las Vegas spending time with the best people I know, drinking, smoking cigars and next to zero sleep I’m still yelling APECOIN ON TOP.
