With Korea’s game law revision approaching, the day when
#Web3 games can finally be serviced in one of the world’s largest gaming markets is near.
As a Web3 game builder, this is truly exciting news.
The attached image is from a video by Kim Seonghoe — one of Korea’s most well-known gaming YouTubers — who was the first to share this update.
Previously, Korea’s game law prohibited
“offering cash-equivalent rewards based on game results,” which effectively blocked Web3 (P2E) games.
The upcoming revision, however, limits this restriction to offline arcade games, meaning online games will no longer fall under the ban.
This means in-game rewards like NFTs and tokens, previously categorized as “prizes,” will now be free from regulation.
Still, Web3 game builders must remember what truly matters: creating great games.
And of course,
#XOCIETY will continue to do exactly that.
