Automation in games is nothing new. I used to farm XP on Asheron's call with a script that automated hunting low-level enemies in a target > attack > loot loop. I'd set up the script at night and when I'd wakenup the next morning, I'd have a ton of gold and leveled up.

I actually see AI Agents as a great way for people who play solo to enjoy multiplayer experiences. Imagine you have a game you like but nobody to play with. You invite these AI personality players into your game and you can chat with them and they tell you things and yall play together. I know for me this would be something cool because as I’ve grown many of my friends don’t play video games.
