Amen! It’s interesting that when the floodwaters receded, Noah’s ark came to rest on Mount Ararat. detail is often overlooked, but it carries deep symbolic weight. The ark, symbolizing God’s dwelling place and functioning as a type of the temple or tabernacle, which itself foreshadowed His indwelling presence among His people, now came to rest upon a mountain, a prefiguration of the eternal Mount Zion, the ultimate place of God’s reign and communion with His redeemed in the kingdom. So, when the ark settles on Ararat after the flood, it foreshadows the final reality - God’s people, preserved through judgment, dwelling securely with Him on His holy mountain.

A global, exterminating flood, that apparently didn't affect China or the Americas or India or Australia or Antarctica. Why doesn't it show up in THEIR histories?

The technical word you're looking for is "Bollocks".

So the bible has thousands of years of history, if the food is a lie then bible history will be wrong..but it's not, the more people try to disprove it the more they prove it correct God doesn't lie.
Replying to @AgainstAtheismX
It certainly reads like fiction.

Not according to the fossil records.

There was a flood, proof is in the geological record....but all that two by two rubbish is fiction.

The Biblical flood stories are just variations of a much older story. So any partial historicity wouldn't mean anything for the Abrahamic religions anyway.
Replying to @AgainstAtheismX
Every religion has its flood legends, and for good reason. Most early human settlements tend to be on the coast or by rivers, and 14000-12,000 years ago, this happened.

History that went unnoticed by many contemporary civilizations. You'd think they would have noticed all that water

“A” flood is history for sure but not this story.
Replying to @AgainstAtheismX
Of course not. It's a Sumerian myth likely referring to the flooding of what is now the Persian Gulf. Rising sea levels at the end of ice age caused local flooding around the world. It may of been a folk memory, or maybe due to submerged ruins. Either way, they made up stories.

It’s plagiarism. But ok. Go on.

A global flood in Genesis 6–9 is not supported by geology or archaeology. There’s zero evidence of a worldwide flood covering mountains in the last 10,000 years.

Yes! Well, except, history is stuff that actually happened.

Noah's Flood was blatantly plagiarised from The Epic of Gilgamesh. Both stories collapse under the weight of their own impossibility when given more than five seconds of thought.

The amount of ridiculous stupidity you must swallow in gobs to think that’s true is staggering. The god yahweh was invented less than 4,000yrs ago. This supposedly happened 3,400yrs ago after the rise of civilizations who somehow failed to notice it.

I'm sorry but it can be proven that every modern land animal did not decend from a single breeding couple for each species. The Bible does not seem to understand incest very well
Replying to @AgainstAtheismX
We know it didn’t happen. We have uninterrupted written records from that time.
Replying to @AgainstAtheismX
So where is it recorded apart from the bible?
