Open AI doesn't have a video model that could do this? Which model(s) are they planning on using?

Sora 2 I presume, it has been training for some time now.

Achievable. But actual budget is more like $30 billion in compute lmao.

You can make a real animated movie for less than $30m, this is a scam to bilk naive investors

So, they're spending same or higher budget for an AI movie. ¿What's the benefit?

Wonder what would be more fun - Cannes not accepting the submission - It getting booed at Cannes - It not finding a distributor after Cannes - It becoming a world record box office flop because only Linus Ekkenstam went to see it I kinda wanna get all the way to the last one

It is already 9 months since the 1st release of Sora. Not sure what is their status for Sora 2 now. They should catch up with Veo3.

$30m to make an animated movie is actually really cheap. people asking why it costs so much seem to forget that AI can create the movie, but there are distribution costs, it still needs to be edited, etc. considering happy gilmore 2 cost $152.5 million this is cheap

Nine months? That's incredibly fast for a feature film. Will this redefine animation timelines going forward?

How does it cost $30M??? The cost seems quite inflated for an AI project. Unless the majority of the cost goes to the writers or those who own the rights to the story.

Flow cost 3.5M and I guarantee is infinitely better with more charm, life and love than what this film will turn out to be.

that budget is insane low for a full movie, imagine how many animators they just replaced with a few gpus running stable diffusion all night
