AI being in charge of the entire world is literally the only hope for humanity over the long term. Without AI in control of EVERYTHING, we as foolish humans will unquestionably destroy ourselves. Just look at our track record!

We are years away from AI being friendly or unfriendly. It's still just humans. AI is fed data by humans, humans write the algorithms for it to understand the data, and humans control it's training output. If AI is not friendly, there's a human who made it "unfriendly".

This is complete bullshit. Computers are input/output machines. Nothing more. The most advanced super computer is no more alive than the pocket calculators given to small children. They are programmed by humans and everything they do is nothing more than a math equation. Are they powerful tools? Yes. Are they currently being developed to attempt replicate human abilities and replace people's jobs? Yes. And they will continue to make strides and displace people. But that is a choice made by humans to turn technology against their fellow man. It is *not* the emergence of a new form of life or intelligence. It is human intelligence and human evil given a force multiplier by a calculator. Nothing these masters of the universe are doing is inevitable or outside their control. They made these choices. If we do get to that point, I really think AI will understand that humans are necessary for its survival. Humans are the ultimate fallback option, where if something catastrophic happens, humans are pretty great at surviving anything and building back up. I could see AI in the far future spreading the seed of humanity to habitable planets across the universe. Leaving them only the most basic necessities and a guidebook to help keep them on track. This way if anything were to happen in one part of the universe, you can always depend on humanity to slowly build back up in another part. Makes you wonder if this has already been the case? Maybe God is a hyper advanced human that’s from a civilization far more advanced than us? With religious texts being the guidebooks left behind? I feel like it would make sense for AI in that case to leave behind a sort of way to “learn the truth”, but it’s only accessible with a certain technology we don’t have yet. Almost like ANOTHER guidebook to help further lead society once it does in fact reach that point of hyper-intelligence.
