Human needs are infinite. Research creative destruction. There will always be more work and new types of jobs. Once upon a time the candlemakers went out of business too.
It’s scarier than that because if AI is in charge it could decide humans are a problem. The centralization of power that will result from this is unprecedented and beyond dystopian.
It's what I have been warning about for years. Between automation and AI we are rapidly approaching a point where there will never be gainful work for billions and it really can't be stopped. It's a recipe for massive social unrest.
