No way tech companies will recoup the $ hundreds of billions (plus a profit) they're spending on data centers, before those AI chips are rendered obsolete & worthless by the next chip generation.
At my law firm, we're testing various AI products and the hype far exceeds the reality. They simply don't offer the value that would justify their significant prices. AI might replace parts of entry-level professional jobs but unless it improves substantially & very fast, the window for those companies to recoup their AI investments will narrow quickly. The math already seems unsustainable.
