Just because this has come up like a million times, my cartoon *is* 6 years old! I've been doing this shit since 2018. This girl actually reached out to me to say she was getting a lot of attention for it and didn't want me to think she copied me (I didn't think so- she openly admitted it was a real-life version of mine, not attempting to take credit.) But anyway, I didn't copy her.

What happened is simple. His thought leaders said that women who don’t wear makeup are the prettiest. But he thinks his wife is the prettiest. So his cognitive dissonance makes him believe that therefore she must not wear much makeup.
