I was a child in NYC in the 80s. It most certainly was tradition. Shaving cream and eggs: the weapons of choice. Get off the bus after school and the battle with friends was on. Relatively good "clean" fun.
I remember when Little Italy was just an Italian neighborhood and not a littered strip surrounded by Chinatown. It’s just a theme park now, staffed by Hispanics
Yes! I used to come home absolutely COVERED in shaving cream and eggs from head to toe. It was all about perfecting the cap for the best stream. Never fucked around with peoples property and we had a good time.
Menthol Barbasol (stings the eyes) attached to a hornet spray cap. Damn thing would spray 20 feet, invaluable in shaving cream wars. Not that I would know 🤔
I am so glad that I got to grow up in the 80s! there wasn’t all this hate that is in our country today. I grew up in No Virginia about 10 minutes from DC And I had friends of every race and color!! We didn’t judge we didn’t care we played together and we’re friends!!
🤣 80’s shave cream story. Let my sister take my car to school. Her friends wrote her a msg w/a drawing of a joint. The sun permanently baked the image onto my trunk. I couldn’t even be really mad about it. Fun was their intention. 🤷🏻♀️
In Europe it was similar before massive and uncontrolled immigration, before terrorist attacks, before radical feminism, before black live matters, before the influence of the LGTB Lobby and of course before globalist agendas. People were free!
