For you #ProxMox peeps out there. Is it best to host a @Nextclouders server as a native Ubuntu server VM and select during install, to run via docker in a VM or to run as a LXC? Thoughts? #selfhost questions

VPN ban is “on the table” as the Online Safety Act could be expanded says, Digital Minister, Baroness Lloyd. We believe that this would be a step too far, and are monitoring the situation closely. The Online Safety Act has become a sinister tool for online censorship. Read more in The Express ⬇️
Thank you for saying this. The whole "criminal" association with people who just don't want invasive AI on their phones is insane.

Which means not only will Apple get all your data but so will Google. Don't tell me about "private compute" it's already leaking shitloads of data.
Apple will use Google Gemini for the next version of Siri (via Mark Gurman)

Day 1 of 40 PATRIOT Act Section 505 (2001) Fourth Amendment requires warrants based on probable cause. 18 U.S.C. § 2709 says an FBI agent's signature is enough. "National Security Letters" let any agent demand your data from companies with no judge involved. The company is permanently gagged from telling you it happened. FBI issued over 300,000 of these between 2003 and 2006 alone. They called it a "letter" so it wouldn't sound like the constitutional violation it is.

Apple is reportedly paying Google to develop a custom Gemini-powered LLM to run on Apple’s own Private Cloud Compute framework. These LLMs will power the new personalised Siri and AI web-search, and remain completely private like originally planned. Source - @markgurman

Good news. Looks like the mandatory chat control proposal is not coming back anytime soon. Major win for digital freedoms in the EU 🇪🇺
Register your own domain. Use that domain with @ProtonMail or @TutaPrivacy as a custom domain for your email. Then use @SimpleLogin to generate alias email addresses for everything. By doing this YOU own your email for as long as you own your domain. You can move it anytime.

Robert Braxman is a charlatan who spreads endless fabrications about privacy and security topics in order to market his insecure products. His products and services even contain real backdoors. See forum.f-droid.org/t/brax2-al… from the Divested Computing project founder and elsewhere.
