What I find interesting about people being upset over Mamdani's position over Israel is that it's a pretty strongly fundamental Constitutional principle--the separation of church and state. He doesn't think that Israel shouldn't exist. He just thinks that Jewish people shouldn't have more rights than other people in it due to their religion and/or ethnicity.
