Inside the rise of Ireland's new far-right terror threat - John Mooney The town of Abbeyleix in Co Laois became the unlikely focus of a significant security operation last week after gardai stopped and searched a suspicious silver BMW. Within hours, detectives on both sides of the border were raiding properties as part of an inquiry into a network of far-right extremists linked to the Irish Defence Army (IDA), a tiny terrorist organisation intent on plotting attacks on Muslims, mosques, and IPAS accommodation centres using petrol bombs and improvised explosives. thetimes.com/article/29c3408…
You cant 'unveil' a fund that has existed since 2020! This is not new & it currently costs c€70m per year So the only 'new' bit is possibly an extra €30m a year This proves that FF & FG are not serious about tackling the housing & homelessness crisis thetimes.com/world/ireland-w…
#JusticeForHarvey 💔🇮🇪
We fought for Harvey at 12 weeks pregnant when we got the diagnosis. We fought for Harvey at 36 weeks pregnant when they suggested withdrawing medical care at birth. We fought for Harvey when we found out he had severe scoliosis and had only been linked to an orthopaedic surgeon that deals with feet. We fought for Harvey when they dismissed my concerns around allergies-later diagnosed as anaphylactic. We fought for Harvey when they tried to provide a buggy instead of a wheelchair. We fought for Harvey when he had delays getting a suitable hospital bed for home. We fought for 5 years to get him a speech device so he could communicate. We fought for him to get scoliosis surgery. We fought for answers when we found out he was removed from the surgical list. Harvey is now gone and we will continue to fight for him, and for the other children and families facing these unnecessary and cruel battles. We fight because Harvey deserved better and we fight because that is what Harvey always did. If government or CHI think we will ever be quiet and just accept what has been allowed happen, they simply haven’t been paying attention. #JusticeForHarvey #NoChildWaiting #StatutoryInquiryNow @CarrollJennifer @SimonHarrisTD @CHI_Ireland @MichealMartinTD @SBH_PAG @scolionetwork @Stephen63224725

People are entitled wear a poppy + honour their dead who died in British military wars. People should also be allowed to remember their dead murdered by British soldiers and reject the poppy as a partisan symbol of blood soaked militarism + imperialism. irishborderpoll.com/2024/11/…

This is vile. I don’t understand how DUP MLA David Brooks thought it was ok to make such a flippant comment about more than 60,000 deaths in Gaza.

Like the vast majority of us, Ivan Yeats is of minor significance. We should get on with dealing with what matters, such as the widening inequality in our society of which housing is a related major issue.
