💼 #TCS Layoffs | Severance vs Dividends — The Big Question 🤔 TCS announced a 💰₹1,200 Cr “compensation package” for terminated employees — roughly 12,000 people, though in reality, no one knows the true count — was it 15K, 20K or even 30K+? But here’s the reality check 👇 🔹 Many ex-employees (8 to 17 years in TCS) say they did NOT receive any severance pay. 🔹 People with over a decade of service were let go without fair compensation. 🔹 Meanwhile, TCS continues to post record profits every quarter. Now the interesting part 😯👇 Do you know how much shareholders received as dividends in 2025 alone? Can you guess — ₹3,000 Cr? ₹10,000 Cr? ₹20,000 Cr? ₹30,000 Cr or even MORE? 💸 So on one side, employees are being terminated without severance, and on the other, shareholders are rewarded with humongous dividends. ⚖️ Where’s the balance? Is this the real face of “Employee First” culture? #TCS #ITEmployeesRights #FITEForum #Layoffs #SeverancePay #CorporateEthics #Dividends #IndiaIT #JusticeForEmployees #Hinjawadi #PuneIT #Wipro #Infosys

so why dont the IT employees buy the TCS shares with the same salary rather investing in Mutual funds if u think if that is so easy
With leftover salary its not going to be more , plus the point is not about buying shares its how the amount which should have been given first to compensate employees is shared as dividends .

A company’s role is to maximise shareholder value For the work the worker has done he is paid salary at the end of the month Worker is searching for new job all the time so same way company also working to protect its own interests

Employment security is not mandate anywhere, Company like TCS employee is saleable assets, once its become NPA they are thrownout
We got to correct few things here , even if employees have to be cut their is process defined under labour laws and neither TCS nor any entity is above it . The big question is will govt back employees by policy changes to safegaurd their rights the way they do for business owners.

Unfortunately @LabourMinistry has not taken the plight of white force employees as serious. People laid off, forced to work inhuman - these kind of practices are common across IT industry and probably ministry just don't want to take any action. Sad affairs @BJP4India

It’s the same with all IT companies .. funding comes from share holders and they have to keep them happy no matter what.. so when it comes to who is the real backbone of the company.. it’s not employees .. because they are easily replaceable .. my company laid off 200+ people
