Also, we have the new ROMA II RISC-V Mainboard from @DeepComputingio that is substantially more powerful than the first generation!
We’re at @hackaday Supercon all weekend in Pasadena. There are unsurprisingly a lot of Framework Laptop owners here!

If @stripe adds kidney support, we’ll offer it.

More powerful, graded on the RISC-V curve, but I like where it's leading. It's the fastest RISC-V system I've tested, but the modularity of the mainboard is the best feature; you can swap it out when a newer version comes along :) (Or switch back to x86! Your choice!)

Man I would absolutely love to get one of these to help finishing out my degree, not sure if my Sys76 is gonna last the next two years, hinges are starting to give out lol

That’s awesome. Want one
This new DC-ROMA RISC-V Mainboard II from DeepComputing is a serious step forward for RISC-V + AI hardware. With ~50 TOPS of on-device AI compute, vector processing units and compatibility with the Framework 13 laptop form-factor, it’s a compelling platform for developers building local LLM/AI workloads. That said, folks should still factor in power/efficiency and software maturity before deploying it as a daily driver. Overall, it feels like the future of modular, open-architecture AI PCs is getting real.

Is it fast enough to run @DHH 's Omarchy Linux? I understand it’ll be slower than my current Intel motherboard, but I’d really prefer RISC over Intel and ARM. Do I just unscrew my Intel motherboard and replace it with the RISC one? Will the existing RAM and SSD also work with RISC?
I need Framework laptops here in Brazil, please 😭 I’ve convinced many friends that Framework is awesome, but I can’t show them one in person.
dude when is it launching in india?
