It took Microsoft to push the world towards LSP - which is a good thing. The world is a better place thanks to VSCode. The world is a better place thanks to Gitpod (you!) building openvsx & gifting it to eclipse. More “openvsx for LSP” will be required & I think ‘pod can do it.

The native feel of using devcontainers or devcontainers over ssh, and Gitlens is what keeps me plugged. I am not aware of an open source project with similar remote dev goals. Did anything pop up?

How would the world be like if we fork "Microsoft/vscode" as something like "<a-vendor-neutral-org-name>/code-oss" and develop and use it there together? Doesn't it worth?
