Politics is never black and white. As Mamdani showed in Saviors and Survivors, moralism can perform virtue while silencing complexity and shielding the architects of violence. Today, moral outrage is political currency, shaping perception, pressuring conformity, and hijacking the emotions of many. Understanding this dynamic is crucial, because this politics of enforced conformity, serving domestic, regional, and global agendas, must be resisted.

If moral outrage keeps serving agendas while ignoring real complexities, what kind of world does that create? Will mixing politics with genuine human activism blur the line between moral duty & manipulation & leave us desensitized to real suffering in the long run? Scary times
