Wingtech Technology's 14.7 Billion Yuan revenue Semiconductor Assets( Nexperia ) Frozen by the Dutch Government
Replying to @RYANHINGSHING
This makes no sense. Nexperia was acquired by Chinese Wingtech Technology in Oct 2018, ~7 years ago. Under the Chinese ownership the company revenue has grown, while being profitable. Dutch gov decision to Freezing Nexperia sets a dangerous example. Which company will be next?

Dutch should disapproval when Nexperia was acquired if concern the security issue. After the owner solved all debts and fix crisis of Nexperia, profit raised up, then the face is exposed. Pirates action? The east india company is back?

I am suspecting the "daddy" from USA made a phone call and coerced the Netherlands government to use "Goods Availability Act” (Wet beschikbaarheid goederen, Wbg)—an emergency law first enacted in 1952, but never before used. The Wbg allows the Dutch cabinet to impose controls over companies whose activities are deemed essential to the national interest during emergencies or when national security or key capabilities are at risk.

Nexperia was a part of NXP Semi conductors NV and was fully acquired by Wingtech in 2020. So yea makes sense now that Wingtech is suing the Dutch Govt. Source: Caixin
Can you imagine the outcry if the Chinese did the same to a Western firm?

Nexperia is not going to survive without the Chinese, and there is no other company willing to take it over. This show will end poorly.

Europe is stupid if it takes the American side. USA is a declining empire, China the rising one.

Um, sounds like anything from fraud to sanctions evasion. Or worse, espionage. I wouldn't be so nakedly pro-Chinese absent the facts v

Bro, Uncle Sam had drawn some very clear iron curtains. In Europe, it's west of Kiev; all of the Middle East; all of Americas; south of Mt Everest; All of Asia/Pacific; and half of China's mainland.

Yah because everyone knows China has been a good faith trade partner and business partner for 3 decades and doesn't do shady shit or steal tech or cool their books or require JVs for businesses. You're just biased. Welcome to economic warfare, it cuts both ways.

Global south, this is your warning
Absolutely horrific
Its a spy ring. Not hard to understand.
That is reason why Wheat harvesters are eager to get to work.
50% of Nexperia's production is in China. It cannot ship product without those factories. There are many companies that make the same products. Nexperia is a dead company if this isn't resolved...

With its nonmarket-based economy of China, the Chinese Communist Party weaponized the WTO against all free-market economies and ultimately abolished the system. “During another session at the summit, von der Leyen went further and declared that the source of "the biggest collective problem" in the global trading system dated back to China's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001.” “Beijing's entry into the WTO has been controversial, as it opened international markets to the mass production of low-cost exports. The admission is linked to the first "China shock" and a decline in manufacturing jobs in both Europe and the US. "China still defines itself as a developing country. This cannot be. China has largely shown that it unwillingness to live within the constraints of the rules-based international system," von der Leyen said. "While others opened their market, China focused (on) undercutting intellectual property protections, massive subsidies with the aim to dominate global manufacturing and supply chains," she went on. "This is not market competition – it is distortion with intent."” euronews.com/my-europe/2025/…

Don't worry, China's crackdown on the Netherlands will make the Netherlands remember it deeply once again.

All CCP fronts involved in sensitive industries?
As Chinese, I have to say that no one has done better than the European gov and Trump to destroy the international credit established For this kind of behavior of the Dutch gov, the most collapse should be the pro-Western forces in the southern countries.
Who will dare to invest in the Netherlands in the future?
Petri the CCP stooge doing his thing.
Is it possible that the reason for Nexperia's profitability is due to the rapid growth of the Chinese market?
