As I anticipated in another tweet, Google has updated the design of the Gemini side panel, and it now extends to the top of the browser window in Chrome Canary. Similar to the 'Contextual Tasks' side panel, it currently opens on the left side:
The "contextual tasks" side panel (where Google will test Chrome's agentic capabilities) now extends to the top of the browser window. Chromium developers call it the "toolbar height side panel." It currently opens on the left side, but this is temporary:

"Content height side panel" is the name Chromium developers use for the current shorter side panel design (the one used by Bookmarks, History, etc.). And "Toolbar height side panel" is the name they give to the new, full-height side panel design (the one Gemini now uses).
