one band defines the history of a subculture? i never said there weren’t apolitical or right wing punk bands, but the history of punk as a culture and not just as a music genre has roots in leftist ideologies

i see way too many people under the age of 40 try to define what they think punk rock means. now don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t mean it’s not possible for people under 50 to define and understand punk, but you have to have kind of lived it to get the full experience.
