ICE deports pet parents—leaving their cat behind toothless and abandoned.
Cat was just left to fend for himself by ICE agents—luckily a kind neighbor rescued him and brought him to local shelter.
Nobody knows his given name—or how he became toothless—so the shelter named him George.
The married couple who adopted him, who go by "saltandpepper_tails," are even trying to speak Spanish to George in hopes of making him feel more comfortable.
They also wrote, "Someone should make a website for all the pets of people kidnapped by ICE so people can see if their babies are ok once they are in a place to check."
The pet rescue took place at a Petco in southern Utah. #DemsUnited
UPDATE—Guerrero-Cruz remains in ICE custody at the Adelanto Detention Center, nearly three months after his initial detention, pending deportation to Chile.
ICE grabs high school student out walking his dog—leave dog behind in traffic.
Agents joked "Thanks to him, we get to drink this weekend"—laughing he just made them $2,500.
First tied dog to a tree—then cut collar off & let him run loose in heavy traffic on Sepulveda Blvd.
Benjamin Marcelo Guerrero-Cruz is currently "cramped in a holding cell with about 50 others... He is cold, scared, and one of the youngest there."
At home his mother depends on him to take care of his 6 year old brother—and his twin 5 month old brothers.
He should be starting his senior year at Reseda High School in Reseda, California. #DemsUnited
