ICE deports pet parents—leaving their cat behind toothless and abandoned.
Cat was just left to fend for himself by ICE agents—luckily a kind neighbor rescued him and brought him to local shelter.
Nobody knows his given name—or how he became toothless—so the shelter named him George.
The married couple who adopted him, who go by "saltandpepper_tails," are even trying to speak Spanish to George in hopes of making him feel more comfortable.
They also wrote, "Someone should make a website for all the pets of people kidnapped by ICE so people can see if their babies are ok once they are in a place to check."
The pet rescue took place at a Petco in southern Utah. #DemsUnited

"ICE’s detainment and deportations are no doubt violent, stressful, and heartbreaking, but now it appears even pets are falling victim to their operations."
"A toothless feline from southern Utah suddenly became a stray and then a shelter cat after ICE deported his human."
"However, the heartbroken cat might get his second chance not only at adoption but also in finding his original owner, thanks to a couple of kind cat parents."
"This heartwarming rescue story originated from a TikTok account named saltandpepper_tails, which is run by a married couple."
