Reading both @McFaul and @andrewrsorkin books, switching between the two. But hearing about @juliaioffe new book and her years of research, it’s now on order. Too many books, not enuf time (thank goodness baseball season if over)!
Nice to see my book right next to @juliaioffe ‘s Motherland @kramerbooks ! Get both.

Here is a bestseller for the women or girls in your life. Great Christmas gift. 90% 4 and 5 star reviews. Story of young girls leaving the Irish Famine of the late 1840s for new lives in Australia.amazon.com/Famine-Orphans-Pa… Very handsome editor, BTW, but I may be biased. .

I would add the personal account of two Russian journalists who experienced the autocratic descent from the 90's on, losing close friends in the process (and having to flee Russia). A "broken generation." Our Dear Friends in Moscow -Andrei Soldatov & Irina Borogan

Is this a good time to be putting one's feet up and reading a book?
I save all my reading material until the off season because I don't know what else to do without baseball.
Have 2 of the 3. And now will need to get the 3rd...
So many great books right now!
Nice… I need to read new books. I got a signed copy of Anne Applebaum’s new one, but I’m reading Orwell’s essays and Hannah Arendt’s On Revolution right now
