You are a taker, not a maker. All you’ve done your whole life is take from the makers of the world. The zero-sum mindset you have is at the root of so much evil. Once you realize that civilization is not zero-sum and that it is about making far more than one consumes, then it becomes obvious that the path to prosperity for all is just let the makers make. Regarding Tesla, the reality is that I have been given nothing. However, if I lead Tesla to become the most valuable company in the world by far and it stays that way for 5 years, shareholders voted to award me 12% of what is built. Anyone who wants to come along for the ride can buy Tesla stock. If Tesla “merely” becomes a $1.999 trillion dollar company, I get nothing. This is a great deal for shareholders, which is why they voted so overwhelmingly to approve this, for which I am immensely grateful. And they did so by a margin far more than you won your political seat.

Honest question, why does Elon need a trillion dollars and what will he do with it? He’s already the richest man in the world, I don’t know how he can claim the got nothing! More money than he can spend in 100 life times, and zero philanthropy! Leave to his kids or what?

Your logic seems flawed as you’re asking two parallel questions The award is in Tesla shares that Elon will sell in 10-15 years for $2-3T and will fund what I was stating previously Your other remark was challenging the idea of conquering the space and colonizing Mars. Yes, this won’t help people on Earth but will boost humanity as a whole. Probably that people were reasoning the same when Columbus discovered America: “How this helps poverty here in Europe?” Yet, the benefits of doing the journey are undeniable.

Well this is wrong. This award is in shares of stock based upon the performance of Tesla. This award has nothing to do with SpaceX. How is sending 100k of our smartest, most capable ppl to mars going to make life here better?
