tried an episode of All's Fair: the outfits in Selling Sunset + the individual storylines of Sex and the City ÷ essence of Legally Blonde - your expectations for a serious legal drama = All's Fair. speaking from my own POV, they marketed the show really wrong or everyone took it too seriously. it's not intended to be a like a serious legal show at all. it's definitely like a sitcomish type energy.

I would agree with this! They definitely tried to market the show to be serious & it’s absolutely not serious I wish they would lighten up the atmosphere & the promo photos z

Exactly! I thought the trailer did it justice. I went in expecting laughs not boring court scenes.

I just…refuse to watch anything with Kim Kardashian cast in it. Watching her “act” is painful.

Like I don’t know why people say Kim Kardashian and Ryan Murphy and thought serious legal drama and not campy little show

The problem isn’t the cast it’s that Ryan Murphy keeps recycling the same glossy formula. Dana Walden introduced him to Kim & Kris, his first pitch tanked, Kris said “make her a lawyer,” and boom All’s Fair was born. It skipped every creative checkpoint, and you can feel it.

i´M SUPER AGREE with your opinion, since the beginin you can see is something informal, we are not talking about Suits, Law and Order, is just comedy, something casual.

Okay, I like that. The marketing was terrible

I think the problem is it doesn't lean fully into the camp - they don't seem to understand what tone they want to be so it's a bit all over the place.

It’s not as bad as Beauty In Black but it’s up there. I thought Sara Paulson would make it interesting. Nope

So basically the same as Kim's aspirations of being a lawyer just one big joke 😂

YES!!! I was trying to understand why I had such a disconnect with it and I kept thinking this gives very reality tv vibes… but you explained it in such a good way!

I watched the first two. It’s hilarious if you watch it knowing it’s going to be campy. I thought it was going to be some trashy reality show but it was only kind of that. I think I’ll watch more later. 😂😂

The cast-excluding Kim-made me think it was serious like the show Damages.

Sarah Paulson’s role is too small, the show needs a villain beyond the various male spouses. All the “you go girl!” scenes are dull as driftwood.

I mean, I enjoyed it. It’s a comedy-drama. That genre actually is really fun, because it can balance serious subjects or storylines with comedic relief in like the span of 40 minutes. Desperate Housewives to me was a pro at it. I’m enjoying this show though. It’s cunt!

It's called dramedy. The scripts are still weak though

It's Ryan Murphy. If you expected anything else than a high-fashion campy show then it's on you tbh.

I usually hate when people say this to defend shit, but this show is genuinely… CAMP!✨ (and I’m unfortunately living for it)

I agree, very unserious, legal drama lite

That shiit should be on LMN. Kim and Teyana suck at acting. They need to stick to just being pretty and leave the acting to the professionals.
